Eritrea is a country at the Horn of Africa. The capital of Eritrea is Asmara. Eritrea has a total area of approximately 117,600 sq. km. (45,406 sq. mi.). Eritrea includes the Dahlak Archipelago and several of the Hanish Islands. The name “Eritrea” is Ancient Greek for the Red Sea.
